Florr.io Petal Rarities Explained: A Full Breakdown of All 10 Tiers

Petals are the foundation of every florr.io build. Understanding the rarity system — from Common to Eternal — is essential for knowing which drops to prioritise and which mobs to hunt.

In florr.io, your character is surrounded by rotating petals that act as both your weapons and your shields. The quality of those petals determines almost everything: how much damage you deal, how much damage you can absorb, how quickly you recover, and what special abilities you have access to. The rarity system is the central progression mechanic, and understanding it thoroughly is the first step toward building a competitive loadout.

How the Rarity System Works

Each petal in florr.io exists at a specific rarity tier. You obtain petals by defeating mobs — each mob type drops petals from its own rarity tier. A Common Bee drops Common petals. A Legendary Bee drops Legendary petals. To upgrade a petal from one rarity to the next, you combine five copies of the current tier in the crafting interface. This means obtaining even a single Epic petal from scratch requires defeating a significant number of mobs.

The Ten Tiers in Detail

1. Common

Common petals are available everywhere from the start of the game. They are useful for new players learning movement and combat but are quickly outclassed. The combination cost to reach Unusual is low, so Common petals serve primarily as crafting fodder in the early game.

2. Unusual

A noticeable step up from Common in terms of petal effects and stat contributions. Unusual mobs are scattered through the early and mid-game zones. Most experienced players move through this tier quickly.

3. Rare

Rare petals represent the first meaningful milestone. Certain petal types only become practically viable at Rare rarity, and many players maintain Rare-tier loadouts as their everyday setup while farming for Epics. Rare mob notifications are useful if you are actively upgrading.

4. Epic

Epic is where the game opens up significantly. Epic petals have materially stronger versions of their base effects and some types gain additional properties at this tier. Farming for Epic petals requires consistent access to Epic-tier mobs, making spawn tracking increasingly valuable.

5. Legendary

Legendary petals are a major power level. Obtaining and maintaining a Legendary loadout is the medium-term goal for most dedicated players. Legendary mob spawns attract significant competition, and missing one can set back your farming progress.

6. Mythic

At Mythic, certain petal types become best-in-slot for specific builds. Mythic crafting requires five Legendary copies, meaning the farming investment is substantial. Many players consider Mythic their practical endgame target.

7. Ultra

Ultra petals are genuinely rare. Few players maintain a full Ultra loadout. The upgrade cost from Mythic to Ultra means you need to farm a very large number of Mythic mobs consistently. Ultra spawns are relatively infrequent and highly contested.

8. Super

Super-tier spawns are community events in practice. When a Super mob appears on a server, the entire active player population typically converges on the location. The petals dropped are exceptional, and players track Super spawns obsessively. FlorrMobNotify's Super-tier notifications fire immediately on detection, which is often the only reliable way to arrive in time.

9. Unique

Unique petals are among the rarest items in the game. A single Unique spawn can generate significant community discussion. Players who manage to obtain Unique-tier petals are considered among the most dedicated in the florr.io community.

10. Eternal

Eternal is the absolute pinnacle of the rarity ladder. Eternal mobs are extraordinarily rare, and their petals represent items that very few players will ever hold. An Eternal spawn notification is one of the most significant events that can appear in the FlorrMobNotify event feed.

Crafting Economics: Planning Your Upgrades

Each rarity upgrade requires five copies of the tier below. This means reaching Eternal from scratch theoretically requires 5^9 = nearly two million Common-tier source petals. In practice, the game is not played this way — you farm at the highest tier you can reliably access and upgrade from there. Understanding the exponential cost of the crafting chain helps you plan which petals to prioritise and at what point farming a tier directly becomes more efficient than crafting up.

Spawn notifications are most valuable at the tiers where the gap between direct farming efficiency and crafting cost is largest — typically starting at Legendary and above. That is where having FlorrMobNotify properly configured pays off most directly.
